Towards the beginning of the film, Julie, (who we can now establish as an escort), is with his clients, given to him by Leon. He's attempting to soothe the woman as her husband watches before he begins to sleep with her. Her husband tells Julie to, "Slap her. Slap that cunt." Julie turns around disturbed, showcasing early on that Julie was uncomfortable with being violent with this woman.
After we find out Julie is being framed, we see him start to sort of lose it. He's looking for the jewels that were "stolen," but is unable to find them in his apartment. The lighting is beautifully made and aesthetically pleasing. He goes on to find the jewels hidden in his car after tearing up his apartment. We see his confirmation on him being framed.
Towards the end of the film, we see his love interest, Michelle, being the only person to actually help him in the end. He asks her why she did it, and she tells him she loves him. This scene is really powerful because even after defending the people around him, no one helped him. She was the only person who was there for him after he was framed for murder.
