Badlands Screengrabs Kaylee Marek 

In the beginning of the film Kit introduces himself to the neighborhood girl, Holly. In this shot there is a great physical distance between the characters. Throughout the film we see the distance between them become smaller as their relationship grows.  

This third person shot happens in the first third of the film and essentially thickens the plot. We see something that Kit doesn't see which heightens the thrill of the scene. 

This third screen grab is towards the very end of the film when Holly and Kit finally meet their fate. This shot parallels the beginning in a very unique way, they are both seen far apart again but this time in handcuffs.
